When we brought our first labradoodle home in 2009 we put her on a nationally marketed food we had used for all of our dogs since we got married. We had never had any issues and just continued to use what we were familiar with.When we began our breeding program we continued with the same. We have been fortunate not to have had any health issues at all. As our program has grown, however, I have grown increasingly uncomfortable with recommending this food. We have placed over 75 puppies in loving homes and I feel responsible for their health and well being. I began researching all the science that has come out regarding pet nutrition and realized what we were feeding was like feeding our puppies fast food instead of a healthy , well balanced diet.
